Cahaba River Designs

This venture started with a passion. The Cahaba River is a powerful force both physical and spiritual. It has always been a current flow in my brain moving me along. My name is Tyler Plumb and I' ve been exploring and fishing my local river the Cahaba since I was a kid wading around in a creek close to the Cahaba by my parents house. The Cahaba River flowed through my back yard so it was always apart of my upbringing. My dad would take me to Lake Purdy we would rent a canoe and explore. I got my first kayak when I was a teenager and I was just hooked. I would plan trips down the river and it was my escape from daily pressures. I went to school for graphic design and illustration at University of Alabama in Birmingham and always was taking photos of my paddling adventures to show people this escape they were missing. I slowly realized from talking to other paddlers and enthusiasts to seeing the trash and disrespect for the river that the Cahaba was in trouble. I knew I had to do as much for the Cahaba as it has for me growing up. Suddenly I had a purpose to help however I could. By raising awareness through simple yet stunning designs and illustrations on stickers active wear shirts and hats that people could actually use and want. I could help people to get together for a single profound purpose: Clean up enjoy learn from and sustain our beautiful river.
