2021 Detroit Lions season

The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member of the National Football Conference North division. The team plays its home games at Ford Field in Downtown Detroit.

The 2021 season will be the Detroit Lions' upcoming 92nd season in the National Football League, the 20th playing their home games at Ford Field and their first under the head coach/general manager tandem of Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes. They will attempt to improve upon their 5–11 record from last year, make the playoffs for the first time since 2016, and win their first division title since 1993.

This will be the Lions' first season since 2008 without long-time quarterback Matthew Stafford, as he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for quarterback Jared Goff and three draft picks on January 31, 2021

Hot events:
The Detroit Lions’ preseason opener didn’t start as they’d hope, with the first-team offense drawing a quick three-and-out. But the Jared Goff and the offense were able to put points on the board before taking the rest of the game.
The Lions open preseason play against the Buffalo Bills at 7 p.m. Friday at at Ford Field.
Detroit’s starters are expected to see about one quarter of action or 12-15 plays per Campbell. In recent days, the team has been short-handed in the secondary, backfield, and at receiver, so it’ll be interesting to see who plays what and when.
